Research using Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) has shown that using electronic health records to understand the best treatment for patients is more efficient and less costly than the existing clinical trial process.

The research has been published by the University of Manchester’s (external link) in the National Institute for Research’s Health Technology Assessment (HTA).
